Rwanda Gatare Bourbon

This coffee starts in a group of 3 co-ops and multiple smallholder coffee farmers in the western province of Rwanda in Karambi, Nyamasheke. Meanwhile, back at the washing station, the coffees from all these farms are blended together and meticulously depulped, washed, fermented, and carefully dried on raised patios before being sent for finishing in Kagali. The Gatare Washing Station consistently produces some of the best coffees coming out of Rwanda year after year.
We roast these beans very lightly to accentuate their original flavor. The aroma is all citrus and the flavors in the cup start off with a pleasant grapefruit acidity, which evolves into a sweet juicy body and finishes up with a creamy English walnut aftertaste. Recommended if you like lighter bodied African coffees like Kenyas or Tanzanias. Please try it straight from the brewer; we prefer using a single cup dripper to get the most out of the flavor. Pair it up with a delicate cookie to really maximize your enjoyment.
