Relationship Coffee
What we mean is that you’re now part of a burgeoning community here—a village, if you will. A village of growers, pickers; roaster and drinkers. A village where the population is sometimes just one person, and sometimes its numbers are immeasurable. A place where things are shared, discussed and ultimately treasured. A place that is seemingly without boundaries, and yet still manages to fit neatly into a cup. A place that you are now an official, card-carrying resident of. Enjoy.
Our Village Peeps:
-
Steve Hackman
President/OwnerSteve enjoys the Smart Blend prepared with a French press. He frequents many international cities and calls them his community. He says community is about belonging and getting great things accomplished.
-
Aaron Peazzoni
General ManagerAaron respects himself enough to brew his Sumatra one cup at a time. He has been with One Village from day one. He defines community as seeing something impossible become possible and, like a daily cup of coffee, one of the necessities to feeling human.
-
Gaelyn Amick
Production/Office AssistantGaelyn is an indispensable part of One Village, supporting both production and office functions. She brings synergy and a bunch of other cool words to the daily tasks of roasting awesome coffee. Just never leave her alone with a Pumpple Cake.
-
Anne Brown
Production ManagerAnne has been a part of the One Village team since May 2009. She appreciates the diversity of an Espresso. Anne calls community a responsibility to support and a challenge to improve. She counts the planet as a member of her community.
-
Woody Decasere
Chief RoasterWoody has been around since opening day, and now he is one test away from being a “Q” coffee grader. The best part of his job is sourcing coffees from origin and his favorite coffee at the moment is our Kenya AA Kangurumai. Woody drinks it black and thinks you should too. He thinks that community is about counting on people and them counting on you. Without it you stop living life the way you should.
-
Nelson Floyd
Production RoasterNelson is the dude that roasts our coffee on a daily basis. His attention to detail brings the consistency and quality you can expect from a cup of One Village Coffee. He’s also pretty handy and creative; breaking down coffee palettes and turning them into beautiful, rustic displays.
-
Rob Altieri
Sales DirectorJust like the coffee he drinks, Rob is multi-layered and hearty but sweet underneath. He enjoys Gerrardo Penalba’s microlot from Marcala, Honduras brewed via Chemex with friends. He has been with us from the get-go and sees community as a chance to step outside of yourself and interact with others. A personal motto for Rob: if something is worth doing, it is worth doing well.
-
Jess Lyle
Production AssistantJess is a vital component in getting your coffee out the door each day. We’re delighted to have Jess around more after many summers working at OVC during her degree in Vocal Performance. If you visit us at the right moment you may be lucky enough to catch Jess harmonizing with the production machinery (breathtaking.) She loves Ethiopia Sidamo and her favorite coffee memory is sitting in a cafe in Prague on a rainy day with friends.
